Mrs. Connie L. Moore, age 70, beloved wife of 53 years to Mr. Lawrence A. Moore entered into rest Friday, March 1, 2019, at ContinueCARE Hospital at Palmetto Health Baptist in Columbia, SC. In addition to her husband she is survived by her son, Larry (Amy) Moore Jr., of Clearwater, SC; daughter, Laura A. (Todd) Vick, of West Columbia, SC; grandsons, Timothy C. (Raina) Moore, of Lexington, SC; Jesse (Katie) Howard of Langley, SC, Cody Vick, of Greenville, SC; granddaughters, Meghan (Howard) Hagan of Belvedere, SC, Laura (William) Askren of New Ellenton, SC, Jenna (Justin) Stewart of Greenville, SC, Katie (Adam) Vick of Columbia, SC and five great-grandchildren; Averie, Noah, Bryson, Raymond, and Baby Mia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Otis C. and Lettie P. McCormick of Clearwater, SC. She was a dedicated wife, mother, nana and great grandmother. She loved and supported her husband in his travels around the world as a military wife. Near the end of her life, they were inseparable. She loved each one of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren in a unique way. She was a former member of Clearwater First Baptist Church, Clearwater, SC. Even though through her later years she was unable to attend church, she remained faithful to the Lord studying His word and sharing the Gospel of Christ when she had the opportunity. A funeral service celebrating her life will be held on Tuesday at 1 o’clock in the Hatcher Funeral Home Chapel, 3464 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Langley, SC 29834, with Rev. Herb Sons officiating. The interment will immediately follow at the Sunset Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Jesse Howard, William Askren, Howard Hagan, Terry Knight, Ken Boswell, and Bryan Black. The Family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6 until 8 at the funeral home.
