Darrell C. Miller

Darrell Miller, 76, of Belpre passed away peacefully on March 1st at his residence under the loving care of his family and Marietta Home Health and Hospice. He was born on September 18th, 1942 in Elizabeth, WV, son of the late Roy and Gladys Patrick Miller of Elizabeth, WV. He attended Wirt County Schools. He had several jobs throughout his life, eventually retiring from Ravens Metal with over twenty years with the company. Darrell enjoyed woodworking, working on mowers and crafts. He was known as the Cross Man because he made crosses and passed them out at the hospital when he was there. Surviving Darrell is his wife Phyllis, son Rob Miller, daughter Melissa (Dick) Sampson, two stepdaughters Amy (John) Brookover, and Rebecca (Mark) Duckworth, six grandchildren, three step grandchildren, sister Jean (Dana) Seckman, cousin Butch Ellison, several nieces, nephews and sisters-in-law. In addition to his parents, Darrell was preceded in death by his first wife Beverly, daughter Darlene Hennen, and three brothers, Dan, Kenneth and Luther Miller. The funeral services will be 11:00 am Tuesday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg. Visitation will be from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 on Monday and for one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Darrell was a wonderful man and he will be missed. He was always a pleasure to care for no matter how sick he was when he came in for care at our facility. We will miss him. We send our condolences to the family.
