Eileen M. Mulligan, (nee O'Connor) 99, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2019 at Mountainside Hospital in Glen Ridge. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the O'Boyle Funeral Home 309 Broad St. Bloomfield on Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. The funeral mass will be offered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Bloomfield at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover. Visitation is on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. Born in Newark, she lived in Bloomfield for the last 73 years and worked in the Violations Department for the Township of Bloomfield, retiring after many years. She was the wife of the late James F. Mulligan Sr. for 55 years, mother of Eileen Balut and her husband Hank of Union Beach and James F. Jr. and his wife Catherine, sister of the late Rita, Thomas, Robert, Sheila, Mona and William and grandmother of James F. III and his girlfriend Amanda and Kathleen Mulligan.
