Summitville, Indiana- Jacklyn J. “Jackie” King, 90, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2019 in Community Summit Health and Living in Summitville following an extended illness. She was born on June 2, 1928 to Jack and Irline (Pyle) Cleaver and has resided in Summitville most of her lifetime. She had worked at McMahan’s International Harvester of Summitville and more recently in the office of R & R Engineering in Summitville for several years. Jackie was a long time and active member of the Summitville First United Methodist Church where she had been church secretary and served in many other positions. She was also a member of Kappa Delta Phi where she was chapter secretary and also a Past National President. Jackie was a people person and was active in so many projects that served others in the Summitville community. She enjoyed reading and was an accomplished seamstress. Survivors: Son-Dave (Jonni) King-Summitville Granddaughter-Kelly King-Summitville 3 Great-Grandchildren-Tara King, Tommy King and Dallas King Great-great grandson-Aaron King Several nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 47 years-Frank King in 1998, a daughter-Abbe Jo King in 1965, a grandson-Aaron King in 2004. Services honoring Jackie’s life, legacy and faith will take place at 2 pm on Monday, March 4, 2019 in the Owens-Noffze Funeral Home, 1009 West Walnut Street, Summitville with Pastor Dan Tucker officiating. Interment will follow in Vinson Memorial Cemetery in Summitville. Friends are invited to call at the Owens-Noffze Funeral Home after 12 Noon on Monday prior to the services. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Summitville First United Methodist Church or the Alzheimer’s Foundation with envelopes available at the funeral home.
