Donna J. Green

Donna J. Green, 51 passed away unexpectedly at home on February 27, 2019. She was born July 14, 1967 in Battle Creek, MI. Donna attended Michigan State University. She enjoyed many years of employment at Millbrook Mortgage Company of Worcester, MA. Most recently Donna worked as Office Manager for Cliff Green & Sons. Donna was a faithful member of the First Congregational Church of Canterbury where she served on the Stewardship Committee, the Board of Christian Education, Church Council, and as the Church Treasurer. Donna very much enjoyed singing in the choir. She devoted countless hours to the children of her community actively serving on the board of PTO, organizing vacation bible school, and regularly teaching Sunday school. Donna was well known for her loyal friendship, kindness, and generosity. She was an avid fan of the Detroit Red Wings and the Detroit Lions. Donna was a most devoted mother to her sons, Ryan and Nathan Green, her world revolved around their happiness and well-being. She was the beloved daughter of John R. (Karen) Scarbrough and Pamela J. (Hawkins)(Howard) Wofford; sister of Paula Scarbrough; step-sister of Jamey (Jenna) Wofford; sister-in-law of Keith and MaryEllen Green; daughter-in-law of Frederick and Linda Green; and former wife of Kyle Green. Donna was a cherished aunt to Brendan, Christopher, Cameron and Chloe Green; and Caleb Wofford, caring for her niece and nephews as her own children. Visiting hours are Sunday 2-5PM at Dougherty Brothers Funeral Home, 595 Norwich Road, Plainfield, CT. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday at 10:30 AM at the First Congregational Church of Canterbury, Rt. 169, Canterbury, CT with a reception following. Reception details to be announced.
