Janie Lou Huff

Janie Lou Huff, 81, of Chattanooga, TN passed away on February 28, 2019 at 3:16am. She was born on December 12, 1937 to the late Elwood and Ella Mae Groomes. Janie loved reading, gospel music, singing and being involved in her church. She also enjoyed planting flowers in the garden but most importantly taking care of her family! In addition to her mother and father, she is preceded in death by her brother in laws Bill Swallows and Paul Crouch; she is survived by her husband of 61 years, Wayne Norris Huff; children Jan McKeel (William); Dewayne Huff, Frank Huff (Anne), Ronnie Huff, Robbie Huff, Aileen Ellis (Richard), Tony Huff, Greg Huff (Sherry), Tim Huff (Iliana), and Tammy Metcalf; sisters Pauline Swallows, Rosie Huff (Jack Huff brother in law), Marilyn Crouch; brothers William Groomes (Betty) and Jackie Groomes (Fran); in addition to these she leaves behind seventeen grandchildren and several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends. The family will receive friends from 2:00pm until 4:00pm on Sunday March 3, 2019 at Mt. Carmel Church located at 7619 Blue Springs Road SE. A celebration of life service will be held at 4:00pm on Sunday with Pastor Steve Huff officiating. Burial is to follow at Moore’s Chapel Cemetery. You are invited to share a personal memory of Janie or your condolences with her family at her online memorial located at www.companionfunerals.com. Companion Funeral and Cremation Service and the Cody family are honored to assist the Huff family with these arrangements.
