Funeral services for Harold Lewis Reeves, 87 of Kershaw will be held at 3:00 o’clock p.m., Saturday, March 2, 2019, in the sanctuary of Center Grove Baptist Church. The Rev. Dr. Sam Catoe will officiate. Burial will follow in the Kershaw City Cemetery. Mr. Reeves died Thursday, February 28, in KershawHealth, Camden. Born in the Flint Ridge community of Heath Springs, he was a son of the late Lewis Steven Reeves and Melita Spears Reeves. He was the owner/operator of Harold Reeves Garage for many years. Mr. Reeves was a former member of Kershaw Second Baptist Church and a member of Center Grove Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing his guitar and singing gospel music. He also was a country music fan. Surviving are his daughter, Pennie Reeves Roble of Kershaw; 2 granddaughters, Amy (Michael) Novak of Lancaster and Mica Croxton of Kershaw; a great granddaughter, Michelle (Drew) Manning-Osborne of Charlotte; a great-great grandson, Griffin Manning Osborne of Charlotte; his sister, Billie Jean Catoe of Kershaw; sister-in-law, Dale (Tony) Simpson of Anderson and a brother-in-law, Dennis J. (Susan) Farmer of McBee. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Farmer Reeves. The family will receive friends Saturday, March 2, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
