Obituary
Mary Elizabeth Hardy Crenshaw, age 84, of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away on Thursday, February 28, 2019. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia on February 24, 1935, daughter of the late Earnest Hardy and the late Leila Barfield Hardy. She was retired from the Douglas County Transportation Department with 29 years of service as a school bus driver. Mary was a member of Ephesus Baptist Church. Mary is survived by her children and their spouses: Gail Sudduth, Don and Mary Crenshaw, Jr., Dena Crenshaw, Weldon and Deborah Crenshaw, Butch and Mary Ella Crenshaw, Wade and Sheila Crenshaw; grandchildren: April and Corey Reed, Jacob and Heather Sudduth, Crissie and David Turner, Tiffany and Tommy Cates, Trey Crenshaw, Beth and Lonnie Thompson, Marion and Sierra Cook, Tripp and Jennifer Crenshaw, Jared and Roxanne Crenshaw, Ashley Crenshaw, Matt and Alicia Crenshaw, Chad and Lauren Crenshaw; 20 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; sister: Marie Wehunt; sister-in-law: Darlene and Peter Young; aunt: Marion McCullers; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald Henley Crenshaw, Sr.; infant daughter: Gay Anne Crenshaw; grandson: Zachary Crenshaw; brother: Gene Hardy; sister: Emerline Cochran; sister-in-law: Mary Hardy; brothers-in-law: Mickey Goforth and Earl Cochran; son-in-law: Richard Sudduth. The family will receive friends at Hightower’s Memorial Chapel, 12651 Veterans Memorial Highway, Douglasville, on Sunday, March 03, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 04, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Hightower’s Memorial Chapel with Dr. Billy Godwin officiating.
