Jeannetta Carrol Cool Wagner, age 70, died peacefully in her sleep Thursday, February 28, 2019, surrounded by her family, at her home at Kimper, KY after an extended battle with cancer, Jeannetta was born January 24, 1949, the daughter of the late Bervin Wendell Cool and Bobbie Mae Deskins Cool. Jeannetta was a retired Pike County teacher. She was definitely a teacher at heart and always went above and beyond for all of “her little kids”. She taught one year at Phelps and enjoyed 26 years at Kimper Elementary. Jeannetta married the love of her life, Ellis Wagner, Jr on July 25, 1970, and the Lord blessed them with two daughters, Shellae and Tasha. In addition to raising their two girls, she served as pianist, Sunday school teacher, youth leader, and chairman of the board at Johns Creek 1st Church of God. Jeannetta always referred to her church as her family. Jeannetta was preceded in death by her father and her youngest daughter, Natasha Nicollae Wagner. She is survived by her mother, Bobbie; husband Junior Wagner; one daughter, Shellae (Troy) Wagner-Hunt all of Kimper, one sister, Jo Ann Hess of St. Louis, MO; four grandchildren- Alexander Peters, Kirklan Peters, Saraiah Peters, and Wyatt Thacker; and two nephews who were more like sons, Chad (Karen) Caudill and Ashley (Alison) Hess; four sister in laws, Bobbie Jean Dotson, Patsy Stump, and Lois (Bill) Dolin of Florida and Lucille Martin of Michigan; two brother in laws, Ervin (Becky) Wagner of Winchester and Herman Wagner of Phelps and three step-grandchildren, Mikie, Stacy and Brooke. She leaves many other relatives, close friends and all those who called her NeNe, to mourn her passing. Funeral services will be Sunday, March 3rd at 11:00 a.m. at the J.W. Call Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at the May Cemetery at Kimper. Danis Chapman, BJ Fuller, Mike Stacy and Jeff Justice officiating. Serving as Pallbearers will be Alexander Peters, Kirklan Peters, Troy Michael Hunt, Chad Caudill, Ashley Hess, Greg Wagner, Marty Wagner and Brent Wagner Honorary Pallbearers: Saraiah Peters and Wyatt Thacker
