Lydia (Schlabach) Yoder 85, of Fredericksburg, OH passed away at her residence on Monday, April 14, 2025 after a period of declining health.
She was born on May 17, 1939 to the late John L. and Elizabeth (Weaver) Schlabach. On August 12, 2006 she married Eli A. Yoder who preceded her in death on November 21, 2012.
Lydia was a member of the New Order Christian Fellowship Church. She enjoyed working at the Amish Door Village for many years and spent many winters in Pinecraft, FL.
She is survived by her six stepchildren and spouses, Esta (Mahlon) Gingerich of Millersburg, Robert (Marie) Yoder of Martinsburg, Eddie (Joyce) Yoder of Millersburg, Ellen (Jerry Jr.) Kline of Millersburg, Steven (Marilyn) Yoder of New Concord, Matthew (Martha) Yoder of Lyndonville, NY; 30 step-grandchildren; 81 step-great-grandchildren; a nephew/caregiver, Jerry (Katie) Schlabach of the home; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband Eli she was preceded in death by a step-daughter-in-law, Anna Yoder; two step-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; a sister, Mary; and brothers, Dan, Wyman, Roy, Abraham.
Funeral services will be held at Faith Haven Mennonite Church, 8565 TR 635, Fredericksburg, on Wednesday, April 16, at 9:30 AM with Minister Roy Keim officiating. Burial will follow in the Hershberger Cemetery. Friends may call at Faith Haven Mennonite Church from 1-4 and 6-8 PM on Tuesday.
