Melanie Watts Baker, 59, died Sunday February 24, 2019 at the St. Joseph Hospice Care Center, Lexington, KY. She was born in Lexington, KY to Nancy Redmon Watts and the late James Nelson Watts, Jr.. She was a hearing reporter for disability claims. In addition to her mother, she is survived by four children, Ashley Baker, Bailey Baker, Casey Baker and Tanner Baker; one sister, Robin (Jim) Leigh; a very special best friend, Brenda Starcher; one niece, Natalie Leigh and two nephews, James “Jamie” Nelson Watts, IV and Devon Leigh and several cousins. In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by a brother, James Nelson Watts III. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 PM Thursday February 28, 2019 at the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY by Rev. Steven Scherer. Visitation will from 10:00 AM Thursday February 28, 2019 until the hour of service at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Chris Rogers, Rick Redmon, Bob Mason, Jim Leigh, Darius Clay and Paul Martino.
