Raymond Freedline Obituary
Raymond E. Freedline, 83, of Dryden, New York unexpectedly left this world on April 12, 2025 in search of the best fishing hole that exists.
Ray was born March 12, 1942 in Renova Pennsylvania to his loving parents, Benjamin and Velma Rhines Freedline.
Seneca Falls was the family’s home for many years where Ray attended Mynderse Academy. His sense of adventure led him to join the United States Marine Corps. Ray served with honor until he was wounded and was honorably discharged. Ray then became a very proud Vietnam Veteran. After his military service, he worked at Sylvania Electric for a time, then onto National Cash Register in Ithaca New York, where he retired in 2004.

Ray was a member of the Waterloo Rod and Gun Club, The Mason Organization and Trout Unlimited. He was a devoted fan to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Ray was a fun loving person who brought joy and positivity to those around him. He was a great companion and made life more enjoyable. Ray is survived by his wife, soulmate and companion of 26 years, Patricia Armstrong, Freedline, who adored and cherished him beyond words. Children, Kevin Freedline of Lake Wales, Florida. Dawn (Dave) Thornton of Slaterville. Sister, Linda Clark of Williamson New York. Nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Ray was predeceased by his parents, his brother Robert and grandson Jacob.
