Nancy was predeceased by her sister, Esther E. Cidis, and her husband, Howard H. Brown, Jr. (m. 1960). She is survived by her children, grandchildren, and an extended family of cousins, nieces, and nephews, and others who knew and loved her.
Her PhD dissertation was so good that it was published in two volumes. The Milanese Architecture of Galeazzo Alessi is still available and a foundational resource for anyone interested in Alessi. Her baby blankets played an important role in the childhood development of a number of lucky youngsters and her thank-you notes were works of art.
She did not like watermelon, coconut, eggplant, muggy weather, or houseplants.
Well-behaved dogs were tolerable.
She loved cats, the Queen’s English (Victoria, just to be clear), weaving, and well-made, dark chocolate, so enjoy some of those things and remember her.
