Tyler Ryan Myers-Nelson, age 22 of Baxter Springs, passed away at his home on the evening of Friday, February 24, 2017. Tyler was born at Mt. Carmel in Pittsburg, KS on September 14, 1994 to Kimberly Ann Nelson. He attended school in Baxter Springs where his passion was baseball. He was currently employed as a heavy equipment operator, working in the construction industry. He enjoyed going fishing every chance he got. He loved his two daughters, and was a friend to everybody. Tyler was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Maurice and Mildred Robinson, Mattie Mounce, and Carl and Wanda Nelson. He is survived by his mother, Kimberly Ann Nelson of Baxter Springs; his father, Michael Hilton; his step-father, Rusty Tanner; two daughters, Taiya Rylie Nelson, and Lilyann Marie Nelson, both of Baxter Springs; two brothers, Logan Michael Hilton, and Lucias Geisler; three sisters, Kamberlyn Tanner, Isabella Myers, and Mae Myers; one step-sister, Maddison Hilton; his grandpa and best friend, James Nelson; grandmother Mali Stafford, and grandparents Mary and Jim Hilton. A funeral service will be held at Derfelts Baxter Chapel at 2:00 PM on Friday, March 3, 2017 with Jim Robinson officiating. Honorary pallbearers are Logan Hilton, Lucias Geisler, Joseph Turner, Julio Guerra, Christon Johnson, Daniel Robinson, Brian Nelson, and Chandler Vincent-Geisler. Following the funeral service, Tyler will be taken for cremation. A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2017 from 6-7:00 PM at the funeral home.
