Kari M. Stark Obituary

Kari (Karen) Radomski Stark passed away peacefully surrounded by those who loved her on March 20, 2025, in Livonia, Michigan, at the age of 62. Kari was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on August 24, 1962, to Richard and Helen Radomski.

Kari was a very successful scholar. After attending Clawson High School, Kari went to study at Central Michigan University and later received her Physician’s Assistant Degree from Western Michigan University. She very much enjoyed helping people and did so every day through the work she did as a Physician’s Assistant at Borgess Hospital in Plainwell, Michigan. Throughout her life, Kari was driven to become self-made. She enjoyed many of life’s simple pleasures such as the warm weather, running, and ice cream but also loved horses and her kittens, Ivan and David.

Among many other things, Kari also enjoyed being active. She’s completed mini triathlons, was a synchronized swimmer, and even competed in dragon boat racing! However, above all else, Kari always looked forward to running with her sister, Marybeth (Mare’).

Kari was also a sailor, she and her stepbrother, John, sailed three Port Huron-Mackinaw races with her stepfather’s sailboat, The Phoenix.

She is survived by her beloved mother, Helen Reebel, her loving daughter, Kyle (Gerardo) Gongalez, her treasured sister, Marybeth (Tom) Stemen, cherished grandchildren, Aria, Bella, and Owen, along with her stepsister, Kitty (Russ) Underwood, her stepbrother, John (Wendy, and many caring and loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Kari’s fun-loving and caring nature brought much love and happiness to all that knew her. She will be greatly missed.
