Gene Wilkerson

Gene "Warren" Wilkerson, age 78, of Springfield Missouri, passed away December 1, 2018, in Branson, Missouri. Warren was born in Quanah Texas to B F Wilkerson and Vera Belle (Malone) Wilkerson on July 11, 1940. He attended High School in Quanah Texas and later earned his GED as well as a degree from ITT Technical college in Kansas City, Missouri. He worked as a Real Estate Agent for Murray and Associates and recently retired. Warren"s parents, B F and Vera Belle; three brothers James Richard, Billie "Clyde" and Roger Dale Wilkerson; and his beloved son Timothy Warren Wilkerson preceded him in death. Warren is survived by his 7 children, son Carl Wilkerson and wife Sharon of Beaumont, Tx.; son Jonathan Wilkerson and wife Steva of Branson, Mo.; son Nathaniel Wilkerson of Kirbyville, Mo.; daughter Alisha (Wilkerson) Cleveringa and husband Allen of Forsyth Mo.; and son Logan Wilkerson and wife Ksenia of Branson, Mo.; two sisters Vera Darlene (Wilkerson) Worsham and husband Raymond Worsham of Kansas City, Mo.; and Patsy Dean (Wilkerson) Goodin and husband Richard Goodin of Farmersville, TX.; thirteen grandchildren and and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was a Vietnam Veteran and very proud of his service to our country. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and everything outdoors, but most of all spending time with his family in Missouri and in Texas. Gene Warren Wilkerson will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 4, 2018, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Walnut Lawn Funeral Home. Service will be held Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at 12:30 P.M. at Walnut Lawn Funeral Home followed by his burial at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at 2:00. His arrangements have been entrusted to Walnut Lawn Funeral Home in Springfield, Missouri.
