Carl D. Chappie Sr. Heaven gained our Superman-Carl on October 19, 2018. He was born on July 13, 1936 to the late Andrew and Marcella Chappie. Carl attended St. Peters School and Central Catholic High School. He married the love of his life Patricia on July 1, 1967. For 82 years, Carl showed endless love, support, guidance and worked all of his life to provide for his family. Carl taught us to help others, never give up in the bad times and to smile and be blessed in the good times. Carl loved Central Catholic, Lionel Trains and was an avid sports fan for the Crusaders, Browns, Indians and Cavs. Carl never met a person or an animal that he wouldnt help. Carl was blessed with his loving and devoted wife Patricia for 57 years and was loved by his four children and his five grandchildren-son Carl Jr, son David and grandsons Brian and Nathan, daughter and son-in-law Carla and Jeff Phelps and grandson Nick and son Andrew, Natalie and grandson Joshua and granddaughter Alyssa and his loving dog Sweetie. Carl's family would like to thank our wonderful family especially Carls sister-in-law Judy, nieces Vicki and Rhonda, his friends, St. Joseph Senior Care and Crossroads Hospice for their love, care, support and guidance. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5-8 in the Reed Funeral Home North Canton Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at 11am at St. Peter's Catholic Church of Canton with the Father John E. Sheridan. Entombment will take place at Sunset Hills Burial Park. Carl gave his children the best education possible and Carl wanted that for his grandchildren as well. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to help Carls wish for his grandchildrens education to come true.
