Linda (Janice) Keim, 71, of Canton passed away peacefully with family and friends, Sunday, November 11, 2018 after an extended fight with heart and kidney problems (A real Trooper). She was born September 9, 1947 in Hiawassee, GA to the late James Cline and Wilma Nicholson. She was a member of Canton Baptist Temple starting down on 15th St. SW, accepted Christ as her savior and baptized at an early age. She was recently part of Encouragers Class. She graduated from McKinley High School in 1965 and attended Malone College. She worked for Canton City Schools, Timken High School as Cafeteria Manager and retired because of health reasons in 2012. She loved her family and friends, loved to travel as much as she could, enjoyed her weekly Saturday breakfasts at John's Bar and Grill and will be greatly missed. She was a devoted McKinley Bulldog fan for 55 plus years. She loved her Christian life and will greatly missed. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her father and mother in-law, Henry and Virginia Keim; sister-in-law, Joyce McClaskey and nephews, Johnny and Cody Smith. Linda is survived by her devoted husband of 51 years and her first and only love, John Paul (Butch) Keim; nieces, Lily Hupp, Savannah Hupp and nephew, Jacob Hupp (almost grandchildren); brothers, James Lamar Nicholson (Susie) and Lanny Nicholson (Dolores); sisters, Deborah Jones (Dick) and Barbara Hupp (Bill); sisters-in-law, Brenda Smith (Tommy) and Barbara McFarren (Scott); nieces, Diannah North (Phil), Cindy Redford (Jeremy), Jamie Wilkes (Chris), Sondra Troyer (Lloyd), and Kristie Hole (Ernie); nephews, Jeff Hupp (MariAnn), Kevin Hupp (Amy), Dwayne Jones, Todd Nicholson (Jennifer), Adam Nicholson (Emily), Mathew Smith (Katie) and Jason Keim (Evelynn); 12 great nieces and seven great nephews and two great great nephews and special cousin, Jim McKinney (Mary Jane); work sisters, Shirlee, Diane and Brenda. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to Cleveland Clinic, Akron General and Aultman Compassionate Care. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 16, 2018 at Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel, 705 Raff Rd SW Canton, Ohio 44710 from 5pm to 8pm and on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Canton Baptist Temple Henniger Chapel, 515 Whipple Ave. NW Canton, Ohio 44710 from 10am to 11am with services to follow at 11am with Rev. Delaney Young officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made the Canton Baptist Temple.
