With broken hearts, we share the passing of Sheldon Russell Conley on March 20, 2025, in Kelowna, BC.

Sheldon was born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan on April 10, 1991, but spent his childhood and teen years in Calgary. In 2015 as a young adult he decided to move to Kelowna. He found true happiness in Kelowna, where he built a life and a community that meant the world to him. He never missed a chance to remind those of us in Calgary how much better the weather was on his side of the mountains.

Sheldon is survived by his mother, Sharee - his rock, his best friend, biggest supporter and chosen father, Russell Gareau; his sister Shae-Lynn Conley and brother Shayne Conley as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and an incredible number of friends who became family. In his adult years, Sheldon also connected with his birth father’s family, who are mourning his loss as well.

Sheldon is predeceased by his grandparents William and Laura Conley, Doug and Pat Snow and Bert Gareau, his uncles Brent, Lance and Rock Conley and Jimmy Roberts, and his cousin Sean Gareau.

Sheldon lived life on his own terms, outspoken, wild, and unapologetically himself. His energy, his humor, and his unforgettable presence left a mark on everyone who knew him.

To honour both Sheldon’s family in Calgary and his friends in Kelowna there will be a funeral service in both Kelowna & Calgary.

A Funeral Service will be held at Springfield Funeral Home (2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC) on April 10, 2025 at 10:00am with time of visitation at 9:30am.

A Memorial Service will be held at Evan J Strong Funeral Services North (3625 12 Street NE, Calgary, AB) on April 14, 2025 at 1:00pm with reception to follow. For those who were unable to attend in person, there will be a recording available below.
