Frank J. Grippo, Jr. Metuchen, New Jersey Obituary

Frank J. Grippo, Jr.

Frank J. Grippo Jr., 60, of Edison, passed away on December 30, 2018 at his residence. Frank was born in Elizabeth and raised in Piscataway. He moved to Edison 35 years ago after marrying the love of his life, his wife Sandra, where they raised their family. Frank began working for Grand Union when he was 14 years old and remained with the company until 2000, reaching the position of Regional Manager. In 2001, Frank began working at Nabisco as a Sales Representative until he retired in 2013. Following his retirement, he joined his wife Sandra at Melaleuca, Inc. as an Executive Director. Frank was a communicant of St. Matthew RC Church in Edison. Frank was described by those who knew him best as a "lover of "life." He possessed an infectious laugh that would light up any environment. An avid traveler, beach enthusiast and fan of the Dallas Cowboys, along with the New York Knicks, Mets, and Rangers, Franks real and abiding passions were his family and friends. Frank sought to instill in his children a zest for life, a commitment to loved ones, and the power of a smile. Frank was a fighter. He turned his 3 month prognosis into a year, holistically and organically, with the help of his family and friends. Frank is predeceased by his father, Frank J. Grippo Sr. He is survived by his large dedicated family whom he loved with all his heart. They include his wife of 35 years, Sandra (Schnatter); 4 children, Frank J. Grippo III "Joey" and his wife Krissy of Jackson, Andrea Ferraro and her husband John of Spring Lake Hts., Samantha Collova and her husband Kyle of North Brunswick, and Greg Grippo of Edison; his canine companion, Dallas; his 4 grandchildren, Samantha Ballero, Gabriella Grippo, Mia Collova, and Malia Ferraro, along with 2 on the way; his mother, Dorothea; 2 sisters, Karen Grippo of Ponte Vedra FL and Allison McGrath and her husband Lawrence of Bridgewater; and his 3 aunts, Marie "Dolly" Grippo of Manahawkin, Joretta Bruno of Whiting, and Linda OBrien of Manahawkin. The funeral will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 11am from the Costello-Runyon Funeral Home, 568 Middlesex Avenue (Rt. 27), Metuchen followed by a 12pm Mass of Christian Burial at Transfiguration of the Lord Parish at Guardian Angels Church, Edison.
