James S. Drier

BRUNSWICK - James Sigurd Drier died in Brunswick on Thursday Dec. 10, 2015. He was born in West Allis Wisconsin in 1935 and attended St Olaf College and added other degrees from Brown University and Colgate Rochester Divinity School. He taught religious studies at Wagner College for many years on Staten Island. He came to the Bath Brunswick area in 1980 and was resident here and in Popham Beach for 35 years. A past director of the Chocolate Church performing Arts Center and a member of First Parish Church. He is survived by his son Colin of Longmont Colorado, several grandchildren and nieces and nephews as well as by his former wife Ruth Hoffman of Cambridge Mass. He was predeceased by his wife Connie, his daughter Heidi, his son Kai as well as by his brother Jack. There will be no funeral. Arrangements are under the direction and care of Brackett Funeral Home, Brunswick.
