Mildred Y. King, 54, of Easton, PA, formerly of Washington, NJ, passed away Saturday, December 23, 2017 with her family by her side. Born September 15, 1963 in Phillipsburg, NJ, she was a daughter of Marjorie (Lucy) Beasley, of Easton and the late Harold C. Beasley. Mildred was a nurse at The Gardens at Easton, formerly Easton Nursing Center, where she was employed for 26 years. She was a 1982 graduate of Warren Hills Regional High School and received a nursing certificate from Northampton Community College. Mildred was a devoted mother, daughter, grandmother, sister and aunt. She loved spending time with her family and friends and enjoyed distributing personal care items to the homeless. Surviving in addition to her mother Marjorie are a son, Christopher King, of Easton; a daughter, Courtney King, of Philadelphia; four brothers, Harold, Leonard, Tyrone and Timothy; three sisters, Elizabeth, Marjorie and Terry; and a grandson, Shaun King. In addition to her father, she was predeceased by two brothers, Tony and Wendell, and a sister, Leonarda. A graveside service will be held at 11am Friday in the Greenwich Cemetery, 15 Greenwich Church Road, Stewartsville, NJ. The Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., Easton, is in charge of arrangements.
