Velemir Kukich, 90, of Forks Township, PA, passed away Thursday, November 12, 2015 at his home. Born August 27, 1925, in Woodbridge, NJ, he was a son of the late Steve and Pauline Holics Kukich. He and his wife, the former Barbara Roth, celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary on March 24, 2015. Velemir retired from International Brotherhood of Boilermakers Union Lodge 28, Newark, NJ, where he worked for 44 years. He attended Arts High School, Newark, NJ and served with the US Army during WWII. In addition to his wife, Barbara, he is survived by four daughters, Fern Pekarofski and her husband John, of Barnegat, NJ, Susanne Walther and her husband Randy, of Montclair, NJ, Nancy Arzoumanian and her husband David and Kristine Gilbert and her husband William, all of Forks Township; nine grandchildren, Matthew, Laura and Morgan Pekarofski, Corinne and Drew Walther, Bethany and Rachel Arzoumanian, Sarah and Jack Gilbert; and his much loved dogs, Molly and Teddy. He was predeceased by two brothers, Louis and Walter Kukich and two sisters, Rose Zatovich and Margaret Barnanski. Private services are under the direction of the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson Borough. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery. Offer online condolences at www.strunkfh.com.
