Passed peacefully on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at St. John’s, Linda Day, age 68 years. Retired Air Canada agent and supervisor of 36 years. Predeceased by her husband: Edward; son: Scott; parents: Magretta and Chester Powers; sister: Joan Legge; parents-in-law: Clarence and Chorine Day; brothers-in-law: Fraser Day, Gary Day and Harold Stanley. Leaving to mourn, her sisters: Dianne (Frank Manstan) and special nephew Justin, Maxine Stanley, and Judy (Lloyd Melendy); brothers-in-law: David Day (Bernice) and John Day; aunts: Evelyn Janes and Marie Hollett, nieces, nephews, extended family and a large community of friends throughout North America. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Thursday, November 9, 2017 from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 7:00pm-9:00pm. Service, in celebration of her life, to take place on Friday, November 10 at Barrett’s Chapel at 2:00pm. Inurnment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Linda’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
