Zella Mae Caldwell, 86 of Marvell, Arkansas, passed Thursday, March 20, 2025 at the Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. She was born on April 21, 1938 in Marvell, Arkansas to Wardell Reed and Euler C. Reed.
She attended St. Matthew Gumbottom Church and confessed a hope in Christ at an early age. Zella later joined Apostolic Life Center and served as a member for thirty-six (36) years.
She attended School in Marvell, Arkansas and then worked in housekeeping for many years. Zella worked as a nursing assistant for many years. She served as a prayer warrior for many years in her church.
Zella enjoyed reading the Bible, going to church, praying for people in the community, listening to Gospel music, and watching TV.
She is survived by her six (6) sons: Michael Lewis of Des Moines, Iowa; Tyrone (Rosie) Lewis of Lexa, Arkansas; James (Lisa) Lewis of Phoenix, Arizona; Larry Lewis of Marvell, Arkansas; TR Lewis of Marvell, Arkansas; and Calvin (Quinetta) Lewis of Phoenix, Arizona; one (1) stepson: Thomas Burgess of Pennsylvania; two (2) daughters: Mary Ann Lewis of Marvell, Arkansas; and Tereasa Washington of Ankeny, Iowa; twenty-three (23) grandchildren; thirty-one (31) great-grandchildren; nine (9) great-great-grandchildren; one (1) sister: Vivian Stovall of Omaha, Nebraska; one (1) brother: Ulicious Reed; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
