Rev. Paul Hervey

Fr. Paul Hervey, 77, passed away Monday, Sept. 21, 2015. A widower and late vocation, Fr. Hervey was ordained for the Diocese of St. Petersburg on May 20, 1995, at the Cathedral of St. Jude the Apostle. His parish assignments include Our Lady of Grace Parish, Beverly Hills, Incarnation Parish, Tampa, St. Luke the Evangelist, Palm Harbor, Prince of Peace, Sun City Center, and Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish in New Port Richey. Fr. Hervey was a former state chaplain for the Florida State Council of the Knights of Columbus and currently served as diocesan chaplain of St. Petersburg. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving from 1961-1963. He is survived by his daughter, Amy Hervey Goodden (Raymond Goodden, granddaughter, Kaitlin Mary Farquharson, grandson-in-law, Michael Farquharson, grandsons, Ryan Jesse Goodden and Mark Goodden), his sister, Sylvia Creech, brothers, David, Raymond and Robert Hervey and preceded in death by his sister, Mary Joan Fratrick and brother, John Richard. Visitation will be Monday, Sept. 28th from 5-7 PM at the Cathedral of St. Jude. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 6:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be at 7:00 PM. A reception will follow in the Cathedral Center. Burial will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, Sept. 29th at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society, 384 15th St. No., St. Petersburg, FL 33705.
