Mr. Smith Glass, age 85, of Roaring River, died Friday, April 15, 2016 at Wilkes Senior Village. He was born August 31, 1930 in Wilkes County to Preston and Ida Brooks Glass. Mr. Glass was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; and two sisters. Surviving are several nieces, nephews and friends. A special thanks to his friend, Ralph Clanton. Funeral service will be held 3:30 p.m. Sunday, April 17, 2016 at Cranberry Baptist Church with Rev. Victor Church and Brother William Souther officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Cranberry Baptist Church from 3:00 until 3:30 Sunday, prior to the service. The family has requested no flowers.
