Albert Junior "June" Pilkenton, age 69, of Wilkesboro, died Sunday, January 22, 2017 at his home. He was born February 25, 1947 in Wilkes County to Albert and Minnie Broyhill Brown Pilkenton. He was a member of Mt. Caramel Baptist Church. Mr. Pilkenton was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and three sisters. Surviving are his children, Gary Pilkenton (Tammy) of Wilkesboro, Tammy Johnson (Clint) of Boomer, Michelle Smithey of Roaring River, Christina Teague (Gary) of North Wilkesboro; and siblings, Ed Pilkenton, Sue Shumate, Zella Barringer, Carolyn Pennell; six grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
