Mrs. Crystal Dawn Hamby Jennings, age 48, of Hays, was called to join her heavenly family on Tuesday, April 19, 2016. Crystal was born February 10, 1968 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania to Ramona Hamby. She later moved to Wilkes County where she married William Frank Jennings. Crystal was a Nursing Assistant and caregiver to many throughout her life. Additionally, she was a loving mother, grandmother and loyal friend to many. She will forever be remembered by those who knew her for her loving spirit and contagious laugh. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ramona Hamby; grandparents, Alton and Clarabelle Hamby; and two sisters, Wanda Marie and Dawn Rae Hamby. She is survived by her husband, William Frank Jennings; two daughters, Stormy Davalos and Shandy Miller; two son-in-law's, Alejandro Davalos and Daniel Miller; two grandchildren, Davari Davalos and Leticia Davalos; four sisters, Wanda Casstevens and husband Michael Casstevens, Rebecca Hamby, Melody Hamby Goss and husband Samuel Goss, Vicki Fox; and many nieces, nephews and friends she loved dearly. Funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with Rev. David Wellborn officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church from 1:00 until 3:00 on Saturday, prior to the service.
