CLINTON- Irene Shepard, 76, of Clinton, Indiana passed away at 3:42 am Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at her residence. She was a homemaker and worked in Private Home Care. She was born February 22, 1942 in Vivian, Louisiana to the late Hezzie Shepard and Viola McElroy Shepard. Survivors include one son, John Shepard of Vivian, Louisiana; two daughters, Hezzine Shepard of Atlanta, Texas and Susan Shepard Beverly of Clinton; five brothers, H.L. Shepard, Eddie Shepard, Lane Shepard, Archie Shepard and Bobby Shepard; six sisters, Evie Kidd, Mary Vera Bell, Loretta Luster, Estell Lawson and twins, Ilene Rab and Earline Reliford-King; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandsons; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Otis Tyrone Shepard. She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Vivian. Services will be held Sunday, January 20, at First Baptist Church at 1:30 pm West Tennesse Street, Vivian, Louisiana with Lewis and Walker Funeral Home of Jefferson, Texas handling arrangements.
