Greg is survived by his loving mother, Betty Ann Holder; his daughter, Brittany Schooley and her husband Jake, along with their chidren, Summer and J.J.; his son, Levi Holder; his brother, Grady Michael Holder and his wife, Lisa; his sister, Susan Anderson and her husband, Jack; Brittany’s mother, Cindy McCathren; Levi’s mother, Karen Johnston; Shelly Holder; his faithful dog, Raven; and many other beloved family members and friends. A devoted father, Greg took immense pride in Brittany and Levi, attending his daughter’s countless sporting events and his son’s band performances. As they grew into accomlished adults, his pride in them only deepened. Later in life, he was blessed with two grandchildren, Summer and J.J., who became the brightest lights in his world.
Greg graduated from Midwest City High School, where he played saxophone in the band and was a proud member of the Jazz Band, performing at various venues around Oklahoma City. His love for competition extended beyond music, as he became active in co-ed soccer, softball and bowling leagues, where his competitive spirit thrived. In his later years he also developed a love of hunting and of the comraderie of his friend, Wayne Smith.
After high school, Greg pursued his education at Rose State College, earning an associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology, followed by certifications in X-ray and MRI from A.R.R.T.. A passionate motorcycle enthusiast, Greg was a proud member of the Downed Biker’s Association, where he rode countless miles on his beloved Harley as “Durock”, supporting charitable causes alongside his extended biker family. When he could no longer ride his Harley, he embraced his playful side, trading it in for a Slingshot and transforming himself into Batman for parades - complete with the iconic theme song blasting from his speakers and candy flying to delighted children.
