DeAndre Sean Little, affectionally known as Dre, Mope, and Andre, was born on March 13, 1966, to Marguerite Little Currie and the late Ralph Samuels, in Mt. Holly, New Jersey. He departed this life on March 20, 2025, at Cooper Hospital, in Camden, NJ.
At a early age, DeAndre accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior, and joined Second Baptist Church, (Now Christ Baptist Church) in Burlington, under the leadership of the late Rev Frederick C. Johnson.
He attended school in the Burlington City School District, in Burlington City, NJ. DeAndre graduated from Burlington City High School, in 1984. While attending Burlington City High School, he played football, basketball and played the trumpet in the Marching Band.
After high school, DeAndre attended Rutger’s University, in New Brunswick, majoring in Electrical Engineering. Upon leaving college, he started working at Broadway Contracting, in Monroe, NJ, for several years, in an electrical apprenticeship program. Upon leaving, Broadway Contracting, he joined IBEW, Local 269, in Trenton, NJ, working as an electrician. He also worked for Coolidge Electrical Contractors, in Hightstown, NJ.
DeAndre has two sons, Naaman and DeAndre Jr., former spouse, Theresa Arline Little.
He always had a love for music and passion for playing his Base Guitars. He enjoyed being around people and had a witty sense of humor, which made you laugh, until you cried. DeAndre loved to ride his “One Wheel,” in the streets of Burlington and “shooting the breeze” with his cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, the late Ralph Samuels, and grandparents, the late Leona, and Calvin Little and Cousin Sharyn Jennel Jackson.
DeAndre leaves to cherish his memories his loving Mother, Marguerite Little Currie, his sons, Naaman Little of Burlington, NJ, DeAndre Little Jr. (Stefnie) of Sicklerville, NJ, brothers, Troy Rock of Florence, SC, Kevin Coleman of Greenville, NC, and sister Andrea Brown-Wilson of Columbia, SC, Aunts, Carol Joyce Jackson, and Beverly Morrison, both of Burlington, NJ, Uncle, Charles Little (Ivenia) of Charleston, SC, granddaughters Victoria and Mars Little; Special Aunt Ella Jean Moore; cousins: Nadine, Reggie, Lonnie, Natalie, Oscar III, Troy, Divon, Dorrell, Denita, Aurelio, Kevin, Takwanda, Raymond, Sianetta, Dave, Jeffrey, best friends Anthony and Tarina Morton special friends Gail Monroe and Dawn Hillman.and a host of family and friends
