Glenn Alan Suggs passed away at his home on March 20, 2025, in Maysville, at the age of 71. Glenn is survived by his wife of 50 years, Janice Pollock Suggs; daughter, Traci Suggs Brinkley and husband Christopher Brinkley of Maysville; daughter-in-law, Chastity Freeman Suggs of Jacksonville; sister, Lee Suggs McCracken (Jeff) of Jacksonville; brothers-in-law, Richard Pollock (Sheila) of Jacksonville and Jeffery Pollock of Richlands; grandchildren, Colebrin Brinkley, Clayton Brinkley, Ethan Suggs and Abigail Suggs; nieces, Cindy Gleason, Amber Xavier, Christy Crockett and Kassandra Pollock; nephews, Dustin Pollock, Travis Pollock, Zachary McCracken and Casey Pollock; lifelong friend, Michael Bourgeois "Hog" of Maysville. He is preceded in death by his parents, Harry Lee and Thelma Smith Suggs; son, Brandon Glenn "Brad" Suggs; sister-in-law, Vicki Pollock.

Glenn was born on September 29, 1953, in Jacksonville, NC to Harry Lee and Thelma Janice Smith Suggs. He graduated from White Oak High School in 1971 and earned diplomas in diesel vehicle maintenance and electrical installation and maintenance at Coastal Carolina Community College. He married Janice Inez Pollock on June 28, 1975, and began creating their lives together in the home built by his grandfather, Thomas Henry Suggs, in Belgrade. After their two children, Brad and Traci, were grown, he enjoyed several adventures with his wife traveling to Hawaii, Alaska, Yellowstone/"out west" and cruised to the Bahamas to name a few.

Glenn was a "jack of all trades", very intelligent and could "MacGyver" most anything. He was a free spirit that required no approval from others and marched to the beat of his own drum. He enjoyed hunting, running dogs and was a member of White Oak River Gun Club, among others, commonly known as "Red Baron" on the CB radio. Their living room walls showcase many of his bounty both deer and bear. For many years he was a commercial fisherman aboard the "Traci J" fishing crab and eel pots with the help of his son, Brad, during the summers. In his later years he enjoyed gardening and created his own greenhouse out of old storm windows. Glenn excelled in any task he was motivated to undertake. He was a dedicated FORD man and kept his vehicles running until the wheels fell off. He enjoyed watching westerns, listening to classic rock and spoiling his 16-year-old chihuahua, Gracie.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday April 5th, at Kahlert Funeral Chapel in Maysville. A private interment will follow the service.
