Floyd Dana “Fisherman” Ellsworth ll

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Floyd Dana “Fisherman” Ellsworth ll, at the age of 53. Floyd was predeceased by his father Floyd “Bucky” Ellsworth, his mother Nancy Ellsworth, his brother Dana Ellsworth, his sister Donna Hultz, and his nephew Christopher Beach.

He is survived by his three sons Shane, Colin, and Brady Ellsworth, his beloved sisters, Brenda (Ron) Beach, Laurie (Tom) Hungerford, Mary (Dick) Smutz, and Cathy Ellsworth; his nieces Emily, and Madison DeVore, and his sister in law Wendy (Kenneth) Gorham, as well as many other extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

Floyd was a hardworking man, dedicating much of his life to truck driving-a job he truly loved. His passion for trucks was something only matched by the love he had for his family and friends. He had a passion for hunting, dogs, and a smile and laughter that could bring light to any room. His caring nature and abundant love for his three boys were a cornerstone of his life.

He passed away doing what he loved, driving trucks, in a way that would have made him proud. Floyd will always be remembered for his kindness, his infectious laugh, his one of a kind personality, and his unwavering love for those around him.

Visitation for friends and family will take place on Tuesday, April 1 at Stephenson-Dougherty Funeral Home Inc. 350 Genesee St. Avon, N.Y. from 4-7 PM.

His graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 2 at 9am at Avon Cemetery, 142 Rochester Street Avon, N.Y. 14414.

His celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 21 at 273 River Street Avon, N.Y. 14414.
