Garry Helfrick was born on May 29, 1945, and passed away suddenly, on March 20, 2025.

Garry will be remembered by his sisters-in-law; Iris and Jeanne (Stan), his cousin; Judy (Mike), numerous nieces and nephews, and many dear friends. Garry was predeceased by his wife, Gayle; parents, Leo and Lorraine; and sister, Donna-Lee.

Garry found joy in the simple pleasures of good friends, great food, and shared adventures. His love for the outdoors was evident in his time spent in the mountains, and he cherished his travels to Italy and France, where he immersed himself in the vibrant culture, indulged in exquisite cuisine, and relished in the shopping experiences.

Throughout his life, Garry pursued a wide array of interests; he was a gun and archery aficionado, a big game hunter, a music connoisseur and drummer, a skier, and an aspiring home chef. Fiats also held a special place in Garry's heart, and he spent countless hours tinkering and fine-tuning for peak performance. Above all, Garry was an accomplished runner whose passion took him across North America and Europe, where he participated in numerous marathons and formed lasting friendships.

As a consummate sales and people person, Garry proudly owned Wholesale Guns and co-owned Wholesale Sports, where his charisma and entrepreneurial spirit left a lasting mark.

A Celebration to honour Garry’s Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 4, 2025, at St. Albert Funeral Home, 9 Muir Drive, St. Albert, AB.
