Alfreda Ann Kasper, 88, of Garden City, passed away on March 20, 2025 with her 3 children by her side. She was born on November 20, 1936 to the late George and Alfreda Wilks in Dearborn, MI.
Alfreda enjoyed cooking, gardening and sewing. She loved sharing those skills by making things for family members including wedding dresses for Linda, Anne and Florence. Alfreda also loved her dogs very much. She will be remembered for loving her family well, her welcoming spirit, and her famous cheesecake!
Alfreda worked as a Bank Teller for the Bank of Commonwealth.
Alfreda is survived by her daughter, Linda O'Brien; two sons, William (Anne) Kasper, Kenneth (Florence) Kasper; grandchildren, Dawn Drake, Gerald Hall, Kristina (Jason) Hesch, William Kasper, Kaylene (Dylan) Reppenhagen, Michael (Morgan) Kasper, Nicholas (fiancée Julia) Kasper; great grandchildren, Brandon Drake, Bryan Drake, Brianna Drake, Hasley Hesch, Jovie Reppenhagen, and Charlotte Kasper.
In addition to her birth parents, Alfreda was preceded in death by her husband, William Kasper; step-father, Bud Lindsay (Alfreda Lindsay); her brothers, Charles Wilks, Chester Wilks, and George Wilks; and her sister Marilyn Maltby.
