Herman Garrison, 94, of LaCenter, passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Life Care Center of LaCenter. He was born on November 3, 1924 in Hickman County to Joseph Henry Garrison and Azzie Davis Garrison. Herman worked for many years on the railroad, working for ICG and GM&O. He was a member of Cane Creek Baptist Church. He is survived by one daughter, Phyllis Cooper and husband, Jerry of LaCenter; one son, Michael Garrison and wife Beverly of Murray; one daughter-in-law, Brenda Garrison of Kevil; five grandchildren, Chanda Jones (Jeff), Tiffany Myers (Keith), Kellye Nichols (Bear), Rev. Chris Cooper (Jessica), Courtney McKinney (Kyle); ten great-grandchildren, Weston Jones (April), Drew Myers (Jacey), Mary Beth Myers, Madison Nichols, Mason Nichols, Miley Nichols, Will Cooper, Jase Cooper, Gage McKinney, Hugh Michael McKinney and one great-great-grandchild, Preston Jones. He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Hopkins Garrison; one son, Harold “Punchy” Garrison; three sisters, three brothers and his parents. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Wickliffe with Rev. Ricky Burton and Rev. Chris Cooper officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
