On Thursday, March 20, 2025 at 10:30 PM our beloved Loyce Perry, 75, of Ripley, MS, went to be with our Lord and Savior at the Tippah County Hospital in Ripley, MS.

He was born July 27,1949 in Hardeman, County TN to the late Mrs. Ruby Lee Reaves Perry Rainer and Cliff Perry (stepfather, Joseph Devoe Rainer) of Walnut, MS.

Loyce accepted Christ at an early age at Rock Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Tiplersville, MS. He graduated from Line Street High School in Ripley, MS. Mr. Perry was employed at Ashley Furniture in Ripley, MS and worked at Carrier in Collierville, TN for 26 years. He enjoyed looking forward to Monday and Friday night wrestling and enjoyed watching Steve Harvey on Family Feud. He also enjoyed all types of quartets and blues music, Old Cars & Trucks and he also enjoyed spending quality time with his friends and family. You never know when Loyce would pop up on your doorstep just to check on his family. 

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 50 years, Norma Jean (Cox) Perry whom he affectionally call “Fat”; four daughters, Amy (Reginald) Jones of Ripley, MS, Melissa (Rodrick) Gaines of Corinth, MS,  Nina (Bradley) Boyd of Winston Salam  and Shenese (Gary) Royston of Holly Springs, MS ; six grandsons; Cortez Perry, Deravion Hatch, Rodarius Gaines. Braddrick Boyd, Bryson Boyd and Tyson Boyd; three great grandchildren, Kylan King, Paxton Hatch and Maverick Perry and one great granddaughter, Oakleigh Marsh; two sisters, Pauline(Rev Ronnie) Gibbs of Walnut, MS and Darlene(Melvin) Cox of Ripley, MS; two brothers; Rev Lonnell( Lillie Ruth) Perry and Willie Cliff (Gene) Perry both of Walnut, MS; sisters -in-law; Carolyn Rainer of Jackson, TN, Ella B. Rainer of Memphis, TN, Irene (James) McDonald of Ripley, MS, Martella Cox of Racine, WI and Martha Rutherford of Ripley, MS; two brothers- in-law; James( Sandra) Cox of Milwaukee, WI and Benny Cox of Springfield, OH; Life Long Friend Floyd Jeans Finger,  a special nephew, Clifford Leatherwood and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Earnest Lee Perry, Sammie Rainer, Thomas Earl Perry, Rev. Dennis Rainer and Ross Edwards Perry Sr. and sisters, L.V. Finger and Alma Jean Haddix.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 28, 2025 at Foster & Son Funeral Home of Ripley, MS from 12p-7p; with the family present from 5p-7p. Service will be held Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 2:00p at Bethlehem MBC of Falkner, MS. Interment will follow at Rock Hill MBC Cemetery of Tiplersville, MS.
