On Thursday, March 20, 2025, Thomas Edward Morton, age 75, of Columbiana OH, passed away at Mercy Health - St Elizabeth Boardman. He was born May 19, 1949, in Youngstown OH to Thomas and Rosa (Candia) Morton.  

Thomas proudly served in Vietnam from 1969 to 1971 as a demolition specialist. After returning home, he met Kim, the love of his life, in 1977. They married in 1979 and shared a devoted life together.

Thomas worked as a meter reader for Ohio Edison before retiring. A disabled Army veteran, he found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. He had a passion for building and fixing things around the house and cherished time spent fishing and sharing jokes with his grandchildren. His loyal dog, Zoey, was always by his side.  

Thomas was a proud father to his two daughters, Jennifer Witherow (Josh Ayers) of Canfield, Ohio, and Courtney Morton of Hopewell, Pennsylvania.  

His greatest joy came from his five grandchildren: John and Tom McKee of Columbiana, Ohio; Craig and Kaleb Witherow of Canfield, Ohio; and Skyeler Marshall-Morton of Hopewell, Pennsylvania.  

Thomas will be remembered for his love, kindness, and strength. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
