When Roger was nine years old the family moved again, this time to Southwick, MA where his father, aided by Roger, had built a house. Roger attended local schools. After graduating from high school, Roger attended the General Motors Training Center in Dedham, MA and became an automotive machinist.

On June 18, 1960, he married Marcia Ann Holda at St. Joseph’s Church in Ipswich, MA. The newlyweds made their home in Feeding Hills, MA. In 1987 they moved to Newfane, VT, then briefly to Punta Gorda, FL where Hurricane Charley destroyed their home six years later. They then moved back to Vermont, this time settling in Brattleboro. In 2016, health issues forced them to move to their daughter’s home in Winchester, NH.

Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Marcia Holda LaBrecque; sons: Todd (Laurie) LaBrecque of Wethersfield, CT, Troy (Gabriela) LaBrecque of Vernon, CT, and Darren (Noel) LaBrecque of Greenfield, MA; and a daughter, Kristen (Kristopher Parsons) LaBrecque of Winchester, NH. Roger is predeceased by two brothers, Albert and Armand LaBrecque; and two sisters, Doris Seymour and Dorothy Hamilton.
