Joan Eleanor Hewison, 92, of South Lyon, passed away on March 20, 2025. She was born on January 12, 1933 to the late Caldwell and Elizabeth Beattie in Pontiac, MI.

Joan had a passion for the arts. She enjoyed interior decorating, painting, sewing, upholstering, building, gardening and crossword puzzles.  She especially enjoyed the company of her grandchildren.

She will be remembered for her passionate and artistic flairs, the love for color and a carefree spirit that touched everyone she met.

Joan is survived by her brother, Caldwell Beattie, her loving children, Christopher (Marybeth) Hewison, Robert Hewison, Carol Smithson, and grandchildren, Robbie, Natalie, Graham and Conor.

In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her loving husband Cecil Hewison.

Services will be privately held at a later date with close family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials are suggested to plant spring flowers in her honor.
