Flora Marcucci died peacefully at her home at the age of 86 surrounded by her family on March 20, 2025.

Flora joyfully joined the love of her life Romano, this time forever. She is preceded in death by her parents, Francesco and Serafina Guazzelli, and her sister, Iolanda Salvetti. Flora will be greatly missed by her daughter Antonella (Carmine), grandchildren Matteo (Mariana) and Sabrina, her brother Aldo, and her brother-in-law Liliano.

Flora was born on April 11, 1938 in Molazzana, Lucca. Twenty years later she met Romano at a town dance and they married on August 13, 1960. They became inseparable, moving to San Francisco and working together at La Felce restaurant in North Beach. This is where Flora loved talking to people and making lifelong friends.

Flora enjoyed talking to her friends on her daily phone calls, cooking, cleaning, traveling and most of all spending time with her family. Flora always looked forward to spending time at her cabin at Italian Village and dancing the night away at the San Francisco Italian Athletic Club.

Flora’s greatest happiness was her marriage of 64 years and being a mamma and nonni. She was the heart and soul of her family. Flora will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, style, beauty, and grace.
