Robert L. Mitchell, 84, of Newark, died at 5:20 P.M. Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Licking Memorial Hospital emergency room, Newark. He was born January 21, 1934, in Dexter City, a son of the late Charles A. and Mildred L. Fouss Mitchell. He worked as a service station attendant for 25 years and Redwood Motors as a salesman for 12 years. Bob was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of American Legion Post 29. Surviving are his wife, Mary Ann (Thomas) Mitchell, whom he married October 1, 1960; a daughter, Gena (William) Thomas; two sons, Monty (Lisa) Mitchell and James Brady Mitchell; a step-son, Thomas (Cathy) Haynes; eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren; three brothers, Bernard E. (Kay) Mitchell, Raymond D. (Karen) Mitchell and George E. (Linda) Mitchell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Morrison.
