Joel Steven Holtzinger, 61, died on Thursday, March 20, 2025. He was the husband of Wendy Jean (Santiago) Holtzinger, sharing almost 7 years of marriage.
Joel was born in Columbia Hospital on March 12, 1964, son of the late James Morton Holtzinger, Sr. and Lillian V. (Storm) Hoffer.
Joel graduated from Eastern York High School, Class of 1983 and went on to serve in the U.S. Navy. He was a Pressman for Taylor Communications/American Color Graphics for over 20 years. Joel was a member of the Wrightsville American Legion Post 469, a life member of Wrightsville Fire and Rescue Company, and served as Captain of the East Prospect Fire Company.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Brandyn Holtzinger of Baltimore, MD; daughter, Emily Guinn of Hanover; three step children, Jordan Goshert, Ryan Kuhn, and Ashley Creek; three grandchildren, Bennett, Payten, and Greyson; sister, Cora Rowe of Wrightsville; brother, John Holtzinger of Wrightsville; and his three beloved dogs who he loved spending time with, Layla, Smalls, and Romeo. He was preceded in death by his brother, James M. Holtzinger, Jr.
Following cremation, a graveside service will be held Monday, March 31, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, 60 Indiantown Gap Road, Annville, with Navy Military Honors. Those attending are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:15 a.m. A time of fellowship and continued celebration of Joel’s life will be held on the same day at the Wrightsville Fire and Rescue Company, 125 S. 2nd Street, Wrightsville from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wrightsville Fire and Rescue Company, 125 S. 2nd Street, Wrightsville, PA 17368.
