James Edward “Jim” Masquef, 60, of Statesville, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2025, at his residence.

Jim was born in Jamaica, Queens, New York on January 8, 1965, to James Edward Masquef and Theresa Lebrando Masquef. He graduated from Havelock High School in 1983, and he was a member of St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church in Statesville. He was employed at Harris Teeter in Mooresville. Jim was a loving son, husband, father and grandfather.

In addition to his parents, those left to cherish Jim’s memory are his beloved wife of 34 years, Gloria McPartland Masquef; sons, Corey Masquef (Clarissa) and James Edward Masquef, III (Molly); grandsons, Jaxon Masquef, and Archer Masquef; granddaughter, Avery Masquef; sisters, Lynn Conte (Richard), Theresa Court, and Christiane Oliveras; numerous nieces and nephews,

The family will visit with friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday, March 27 at Troutman Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to your local VFW or American Legion.
