Alexander J. Graham Obituary

Alex Graham lived in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better… (Philippians 1:23) Solid in faith, and well-read of scripture, he had a strong desire to be with the Lord.

Alex crossed the “strait” into the Lord’s presence Thursday morning, March 20, 2025. He was 32.

Born Alexander Jonathon Graham on April 17, 1992 in Mansfield to parents Kenneth D. and Monya L. (Alexander) Graham, he remained a Mansfield resident most of his life. He graduated from Lexington High School in 2010, and earned an Associate’s Degree in liberal arts from Ashland University.

Alex loved all things active: roller hockey and snow skiing, but his favorite activities involved water. Alex was self-taught in cooking, auto repair, and amazed his parents with his ability to write java code at the age of 14.

Remembered for his kind heart, Alex was one of the good guys – always available to help – caring and thoughtful, with a big heart: Alex was a Giver. His greatest quality was an ability to accept others, he was not judgmental – never met a stranger – and lived the message of John 3:16 that Christ died for all, so he would love everyone.

His deep Christian faith and his entrepreneurial spirit combined as he operated his trucking company: God is Good, LLC – a cargo transport firm.

In his youth, Alex started reading the Harry Potter series. It sparked his love for books. He was so well read, read quickly, and read most any non-fiction he could get his hands on. This, coupled with this excellent memory, resulted in an intelligent young man.

He leaves a legacy of a bright and faithful Christian man, who had a sense of humor that kept those around him on their toes. So good at practical jokes, Alex nearly made April 1st a holiday-worthy event.

He is survived by his mother Monya (Alexander) Graham of Ontario, his father Ken D. Graham of Mansfield; a sister Brooke (Seth) Brock of Zanesville, Ohio; paternal grandmother Roxie Reynolds of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania; aunts and uncles Joni (Rob) Hassmann of Powell, and Jim (Krista) Alexander of Mansfield and Kathy Alexander of Mansfield; along with several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Mel and Beverly Alexander and paternal grandfather Robert Reynolds; and an uncle Jeff Alexander.

The Graham family will receive friends Saturday, March 29, 2025 from 12 Noon until 2 p.m. in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held immediately following at 2 p.m. with Pastor Chris Spencer officiating.

Contributions in Alex’s memory can be sent to: Peoples Baptist Church, 223 Vanderbilt Rd, Mansfield, OH 44904.
