It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sherry Lee Bigley, a beloved wife, sister, aunt, and friend to many. Sherry peacefully passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2025, surrounded by the compassionate care of Hospice of the Valley.
Sherry was born in Las Vegas, Nevada, and spent her early years living in various places before settling in Arizona in 1969. It was there that she met her beloved husband, James "Jimmy" Bigley, with whom she shared 30 wonderful years of marriage.
A woman of many passions, Sherry loved traveling, cooking, and cherishing the time spent with family and friends. Her warmth, kindness, and vibrant spirit touched the lives of all who knew her, leaving an enduring legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, Earl Schuman II and Carolee Schuman, and her sister, Cynthia Tanler. She is survived by her loving husband, James P. Bigley; her brother, Earl "Bud" Schuman III; stepdaughter, Kelly Lynn Bowden; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who will carry her memory in their hearts forever.
A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor on April 13, 2025, at 4:00 PM at 25417 N. 45th Drive, Phoenix, AZ 85083. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley, whose exceptional care and support provided Sherry with peace and comfort in her final days.
