Richard Allan Pannutti Obituary

Richard Allan Pannutti, known affectionately as Rich to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on March 20, 2025, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina surrounded by his loved ones. Born on June 3, 1950, in Youngstown, Ohio, Richard was a beacon of warmth and wisdom throughout his 74 years.

A proud graduate of Mohawk High School in Bessemer, Pennsylvania, Richard furthered his education at Youngstown State University. His thirst for knowledge and dedication to his studies set the foundation for a successful career. Richard retired from Verizon Communications, where his hard work, intelligence, and quick wit made him not only a respected colleague but also a cherished friend.

Richard's life was a testament to his enduring love and commitment to his family. He was a devoted husband to his wife of 52 years, Kathy Kuczynski Pannutti, and a loving father to his sons, Vince Pannutti (Fabiola), Anthony Pannutti (Aimee), and daughter Leah Rubano (Dominic). He is also survived by his brothers, Jimmy Pannutti (Roberta) and Eddie Pannutti. All of whom will remember Richard as a guiding light and steadfast support throughout their lives. Although he was preceded in death by his parents, James and Cecilia Alexander Pannutti, their legacy of kindness and passion lived on through him.

The joy of Richard's life was amplified by his adoring grandchildren, Vincent, Angelina, A.J., Ava, Giada, and Cecilia. He cherished every moment spent with them, whether it was attending their sporting events, participating in their activities, or simply enjoying their company. Richard's presence at these gatherings was a source of love and pride, and his grandchildren will carry the memory of his unwavering support with them always.

A man of faith, Richard was an active member of the Good Shepherd Catholic Mission Church in King, NC. His devotion to his church and community was evident in the way he lived his life, always striving to embody the values of love, kindness, and compassion that he held so dear.

Richard's interests were as diverse as they were passionate. He was an avid metal detector, always eager to discover hidden treasures from the past. His love for casinos was matched only by his love for a good crossword puzzle, which he would often enjoy over a cup of coffee.  An eloquent writer, Richard was known for his intelligence and comic flair. His quick wit and readiness with a one-liner brought smiles and laughter to those around him.

In every aspect of his life, Richard was a hardworking, family-oriented man who never complained, no matter the circumstance. His passion for life and the people in it was evident to all who knew him. The love he had for his wife was unparalleled; she was truly his life's companion and greatest joy.  Aside from his family he loved spending the day in the comfort of his recliner.

Those who knew Richard will forever remember him as a loving, kind, and passionate soul. His legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to cross paths with him. Richard's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with threads of love, laughter, wisdom, and artistry—a life truly well-lived.

Richard's absence will be deeply felt, but the memories he created will continue to bring comfort and joy to those who loved him. He has left an indelible mark on this world, and though he has departed from this life, his spirit will remain an inspiration to all. Rest in peace, Richard Allan Pannutti—a remarkable man whose life was a celebration of love and whose presence was a gift to us all.
