Sandra Santos Allen, of Three Rivers, passed away peacefully on Thursday March 20 surrounded by her loving family. Daughter of the late Alfred and Catherine Santos of Palmer, Sandy retired from her lab assistant job in August 2016. She enjoyed her retirement years and spent them watching her grandkids band concerts and sporting events. Her passions were watching the Celtics and Red Sox play, going to casinos and playing the slot machines, which was more enjoyable when her grandkids were there with her. Sandy could be found playing bingo at St.Thomas or Amvets. She enjoyed playing cards with family and friends and was known for her generosity and sense of humor. Sandy looked forward to her annual trip to Saratoga with Traci. Sandy is survived by her beloved daughters Traci Ellithorpe and Tammi Grissom, her grandchildren Tyler Grissom and Cole Grissom, her brothers Robert Santos and wife Karen, Ronald Santos and his wife Linda, her sister Darlene Blethen and husband Jack, her sister-in-law Joyce Santos her nieces Bobbie Smith and kids,, Jessica Minns and kids, Angela Santos and daughter, her nephews Michael Santos and sons, Matthew Santos and son, Ryan Minns and son, Sean Santos and sons, Johnny Santos and son, Scott Santos and son, and Mark Santos. She is predeceased by her brother Alfred "Chubby" Santos and her sister Candy Santos Szanderowski. A Celebration of Life Service for Sandy will be held on Saturday, March 29, at the Ludlow Funeral Home. Visitation is from 12:00-1:30pm with a Chapel service, at the Funeral Home, beginning at 1:30pm celebrated by Father Rick.
