Robert P. Timm, born on December 30, 1941, in Philadelphia, passed away unexpectedly at his residence in Holland on March 20, 2025, at the age of 83. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who enriched the lives of those around him with his quiet strength and steadfast love.
A proud graduate of North Catholic High School, Class of 1959, Robert embarked on a lifelong career as a dedicated machinist, crafting aircraft fasteners with precision and care for SPS from 1962 until his well-earned retirement in 2003. His unwavering work ethic and commitment to excellence left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
Preceded in death by his loving parents, William C. and Mary E. Timm, Robert leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Carol A. Timm, who stood by his side through life's every adventure. Together, they built a family that became the center of his world.
Robert's children, Christine, Robert and his wife Kim, and John and his wife Amy Fernandes, were a source of immense pride and joy. His grandchildren, Brandon Timm and Heather Campbell, along with her husband Sean, brought light and laughter into his life. Robert's twin brother, William, and his wife Betty, shared a unique bond with him that only twins can understand. He also leaves behind his cherished niece Maria, nephew William and their families. Also surviving are his brothers and sisters-in law and their families.
A man who embraced everything "Philly," Robert had a deep appreciation for the simple pleasures in life: cheering on the Eagles and all Philadelphia sports teams, indulging in Bryers ice cream, Philly soft pretzels, Tastycakes, and Entenmann's donuts and cakes.
Robert was a quiet man who "took it all in," savoring every moment spent with his family during their 28 summers in Ocean City, New Jersey. Whether taking his grandkids on the boardwalk for an evening of fun or relaxing on the 34th street beach, these moments were the essence of his happiness.
